Oroval, a self-taught guitarist raised on the great blues standards, brings a raw instinct that perfectly complements Roman’s lived-in delivery. Together, they have carved out a sound that feels weathered and wise, the kind of blues that doesn’t need nostalgia to prove its worth.
Produced by Bruno Dandrimont and recorded at La Battamobile Studio, “Piggy Bank Blues” strikes a rare balance between grit and grace. The guitars growl with intent, the groove rolls heavy, and every note feels earned rather than arranged. You can sense the Chicago current running beneath it, that electric pulse of the city, while hints of country rock melody lend warmth and motion.
