There’s something undeniably magnetic aboutStupid Sexy Paulo.’ Maybe it’s the way it refuses to sit still, shapeshifting from buttery soul to laid back boom bap to late night funk without warning. Or maybe it’s Paulo himself, equal parts ringleader and daydreamer, bringing together a cast of collaborators for a record that plays like a house party where every room has its own vibe.

Released via Fogwood Records, Stupid Sexy Paulo isn’t just a follow up. It’s a full on reinvention. Paulo and the Problems lean into their weirdness, their warmth, their animated aesthetic (literally, with a recurring dog mascot named Nico starring in every video) and double down on what makes them fun: fearless collaboration and genre defying groove.

From the jump, Cruise Control eases you in with undeniable swagger. It’s cool without trying too hard. Paulo’s vocal rides the pocket with ease, the instrumentation dances just enough, and you know you’re in good hands. But it’s what happens after that where things really take off. First of the Month with Saynave is sharp, rhythm driven, and soaked in grit, while Summer Rain featuring Mekfly melts into a velvet smooth R&B moment that could soundtrack any windows down night drive. Lotus Blanc floats in like a fever dream, thanks to Dude Low’s hypnotic delivery, and the final track Rest Your Mind acts as the perfect comedown: gentle, intimate, and quietly stunning.

What ties it all together is Paulo’s clear vision and the Fogwood family’s chemistry. There are no throwaway features here. Every artist brings something essential to the table. You can hear the trust, the shared language, the joy of making something together without chasing charts or trends. That’s rare. And the animated videos, far from being gimmicks, enhance the storytelling. They add charm, world building, and an extra layer of personality that most albums lack.

Stupid Sexy Paulo feels like a living breathing thing. It’s confident but never cocky, nostalgic but never stuck in the past. In a year where a lot of music feels overly calculated, this album reminds you what freedom sounds like.
