There is a quiet power that hums through Natur, the debut collaborative album from North Wales singer-songwriters Eve Goodman and SERA (Sarah Louise Sarnacki Owen). Rooted in the Welsh language and spirit, the record unfolds as a lyrical conversation between women, land, and the turning cycles of the natural world. Released on 10 October 2025 via Recordiau Anian and distributed by PYST, it stands as a tender yet commanding celebration of both artistic and ecological kinship.

Recorded in the foothills of Llanrwst at Wild End Studio with co-producer Colin Bass (Camel, 9Bach’s Tincian), Natur radiates the organic warmth of its surroundings. Goodman and SERA’s harmonies intertwine like branches in sunlight, sometimes playful and sometimes prayerful. The production feels intimate and alive, giving each song space to breathe. This is a collection that listens as much as it speaks.

Across its landscape, Natur journeys from the salt-washed whimsy of a Menai Strait mermaid to the stillness of an a cappella incantation. One track conjures a moth as muse, while another reflects the shifting moods of the weather. Together, they form a sonic map of emotion, from grounded gratitude to the restless search for balance in a digitised age. The rhythmic pulse of Anian captures the burnout of modern life with melodic precision, while Bendith closes the circle with reverence, offering the listener a moment of quiet benediction.

The collaboration itself feels inevitable. Both artists, raised in Caernarfon and selected as BBC Horizons talents in 2019, share an instinct for storytelling that honours the old while reaching toward the new. Their voices, distinct yet deeply connected, bridge the personal and the mythical, echoing the influence of the Spell Songs project but infused with a uniquely Welsh heartbeat.

Having already graced Welsh television (Heno), BBC Maida Vale Studios, and the Can i Gymru competition, the duo arrive here with a record that feels both hard-earned and wholly natural. Natur is not simply an album; it is a reclamation of pace, presence, and the wild feminine energy that underpins both art and earth.

Catch Eve Goodman & SERA live this autumn across Wales, including Bangor, Llanrwst, Swansea, Pontypridd, and Bala, and supporting Julie Fowlis in Bangor on 1 November.
